XF 2.0 Which PHP version should I upgrade to?

Hi, I am running one xenforo site and few wordpress site on php 5.3. I am now going to upgrade php but there are few options in the list like 5.6.33, 7.0.27, 7.1.13 and 7.2.1. Which one should I choose? Need your advice please. Thanks.

The highest possible if your other non-XF sites are compatible. XF2 should be fine with PHP 7.2.

Hi, I will use this topic to ask my question:
I have 2.0.11, so will that version of forum work with PHP 7.4.5

I told my managed VPS to upgrade to newer version but I forgot to check if it is compatible with my installed version.

I now have error "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later. " which I am not sure if this is because of wrong PHP version or something else... So want to rule out one by one.

That version of XenForo will only support PHP 7.2 and below.

You will either need to downgrade PHP to 7.2 or upgrade XenForo to a newer release.

It will be a release towards the end of 2019 that supports PHP 7.4. I forget the exact one. Probably circa 2.1.6.
