I'm not sure I really want to put any ads on the site, and might have to look into a new revenue model to support my project. So thinking of running XF-Forums in the future, where would you put your advertisements (like banners, AdSense, etc.) ?
Which is the best place to put it into ?
yeah, but I guess everyone needs to monetize his forum in order to cover costs. etc.
I guess I saw some AdSense-applications build into VB.
So you guys are all going for user-memberships ?
How are you going to monetize your forums ? I doubt you guys are all hobbyists and not making money on your forums.....
Don't quote me on this but I believe there isn't going to be any advertising integrated by default in the first version.
*I think I read that somewhere*
Most sites I would probably put ads on, but my current project (That will be using XenForo), was never really going to use ads anyways (Maybe sponsored links that could be paid for to support the project, but not ads).yeah, but I guess everyone needs to monetize his forum in order to cover costs. etc.

Probably the same way any other forum system would, you would just have to sacrifice looks.some forums make money with the trick of having Private-Messages being only for paying members, especially match-making websites.
Not sure if this is a viable option and whether this can be achieved with XenForo ?

Heres a few of my forums:good to see that nobody here actually wants to make any money with their forums, but just want to change the world to be a better place
I'm just hoping its the -logical- places and not where you fill out most of the site with ads.Um...the same places as in every single piece of forum software...cmon people it's a new piece of software not an advertising revolution...this is a pretty pointless thread :/
That's practically the reason AdBlock+ was invented.I'd put them in-post. But to the right of the message div.
