XF 1.3 What is the best cache to user with XF?

    I'd probably want to go for the most stable, as performance wise I doubt there is much between them (?)

    Also, can the front end cache (as mentioned here: http://xenforo.com/help/cache/) be used without any cache system installed? The guide doesn't make that entirely clear.

    Frontend requires a backend. Frontend enables caching. Backend defines what system is used for that cache.

    Probably Memcached is the best one to use. Just be sure to monitor your cache. An unhealthy cache (e.g. one without enough space) can cause problems.

    Thanks Jake. I like Memcached too and currently use it on my Rails site.
