Hi,
I have just registered at this forum, and I don't know what to be discussed at this forum.

While trying to log in to Android forums with my account, I have found
Our bots are currently hard at work upgrading
Android Forums to Xenforo.

Thus, I have clicked on the Xenforo, which guided me to this forum of yours.

I can post my threads at this forum If I have some problems with my Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570I, such as: Pairing Samsung Bluetooth with my Laptop's Bluetooth. Also, I need a DLNA client which will work with my mobile model
  • I tried the AnDLNA player which was working with me, however, it couldn't support some file formats.
  • Ginkgo DLNA is not compatible with my Android Samsung model

XenForo comes with English by default, You will need to depend on the 3rd party translations from here which is not official.

Where can I find 3rd party translations, if I found them, they will be installed on the same web-hosting space. I think they will no translate very well as they are just translators and not by default in the design.

You need to create them using the ACP. Read the support articles :).

Yes, I have created from Resources, but they only listed under 'Resource'

I want them to be listed under main forum, have a look at the image below

Top-right hand side there is a "Admin" link.

You mean before creating any account, I will see this link, no link is there

Yes and it can be used by the people / members on your board.

That doesn't mean they are bad. Most people won't translate unless they want to use it and in that case it will be near perfect. You can always translate the entire English language pack which comes as default to your own language anytime.

There is a different setting for that.

First you login using the top-right hand side link, yes the one which is marked.

Thanks a lot,
I don't know if this is my fault, or this is really diffcult, I really don't know where I can find such translators to installed on the forum software, and how to be installed in the forum software interface.
Also, It will be converted the entire user interface of the XenForo forum software ?

Note, my prospective users are all Arab? Thus, they will not know anything in English at all.

When I clicked on the 'login/logup', I really tried logging in to the XenForo demo with the user 'admin' and the password 'admin', then, I got logged as administrator called 'admin'

You find anything to do with the language under Admin Panel > Appearance > Languages & Phrases.

If you mean the text yes. For example anywhere the "Search" is will be replaced by "Busqueda" (Spanish) which can be reversed any time.

uhm?

Okay?

Thanks a lot,

All what I got when I have changed the language from 'Admin Panel > Appearance > Languages & Phrases.', I got that the interface of XenForo demo got shown from the right to lift. No texts are written(shown) in Arabic at all.

You have to install the Arabic language files (which are available in the resource area). To access those files you have to already be a licensed user as they are not installed on the demo.
If the language is not the one you need then you will have to perform the translations yourself or get someone to do it for you.

Thanks a lot,
To be honest with you, I really still don't completely get on what you said. I.e. where will I get the Arabic language package to be installed in the resource area. I, myself, will need to perform the translations from English into Arabic? What exactly will I need to translate? I will translate all the English language by default added in the XenForo? This would be going very difficult, be needing a team of persons specialist in English, and not just a person.
I am still expecting that what I will do to convert all interface, texts on the XenForo forum software is to change the language from English into Arabic or other lanague inside the Xenforo Forum software(Admin User panel), for instance?

OK, it's fairly simple to understand

To have access to the resource area where the language packs are you have to already have a valid license.
Once you have the license, you download the Arabic language pack and install it in XenForo.
It is then able to be used.

If the Arabic language pack is not of the version (written word) that you need, then you will have to do your own translation into whatever language you desire that isn't already done and available in the resource download area.

I believe the language files will also translate the majority of your ACP (Admin Control Panel) for you.

No, I still do not have the licensed XenForon software. However, I am expecting that the general Arabic language package will be available in any version of XenForo.

Spot on 'Once you have the license, you download the Arabic language pack and install it in XenForo.'

Where I can download the Arabic Language pack'? Is a part of XenForo software?

Do you mean that the XenForo forum software comes with different versions, some of which don't have the Arabic language pack, which means then I will have to do my own translation into whatever language I desire that isn't already done and available in the resource download area.'

Translations are provided by 3rd parties and are not official parts of XenForo. XenForo releases updates to fix bugs and add new features. Some of which require changes to phrases. These 3rd party translators must update the translation to include any changes made by XenForo.

Yes, then the existng verino of XenForo don't include any Arabic lanague pack which can be chosen via the ACP. I,ll therefore need to download those translations provided by 3rd parties, and install them on the XenForo. IF so, I will download them for free? Where I can do that?

Due to some changes in the language files, you may have to update them to reflect any new ones upon upgrades (unless the translation author does it and then you can install the new one)

That image was a direct clip from the Resource Manager - which you have access to download from once you are a licensed user.

By 3rd parties everyone mean the people who translate languages/phrases/language pack/etc here in the Resource Manager. You get access to Resource Manager when you purchase the XenForo License only.

It is for only licensed users only.

Any 3rd party resource can be free or paid, this is dependent on the individual resource author. You will have to look for them to find out if they're charged for.
