XF 2.1 Web.Config Causing 500 Internal Server Error

Hi,

I'm using the web.config suggested in the wiki which is for IIS 7 but I use IIS 10 and whenever I put the web.config in my root directory it gives a 500 Internal Server Error when I try to browse the forum with it, my goal is to get friendly URL's working. Any clue why?

The server error log may hold some clues.

I can't imagine IIS 10 varies too much (if at all) from IIS 7 as far as the config is concerned: https://xenforo.com/xf2-docs/manual/options/#friendly-url-web-server-requirements-and-setup

Can't find the error anywhere, it does not show up in the event viewer nor does it show the problem in the error tracer that comes with IIS 10.

I just installed a xenforo 1.5 version and the web.config worked fine with that.
