You can't.

You should use a specialized service to manage your emails.

It's actually a crucial part of running a forum, if you could disable them then your members will be very unhappy as it's something they expect to be able to have. It's advisable as above to use a dedicated SMPT provider such as Amazon SES (so cheap it's almost free) or Mailgun, Postmark, Sparkpost, Sendgrid, etc.

@Anatoliy It all depends on the frequency and number of emails but you risk black-listing or blocking by your host. There are free alternatives that you should study (free up to a certain number of emails)

I don't know much about mail sending... But I don't understand... The amount of mails and the quality of messages are the same either they are sent using my own smtp server or 3rd party. How using 3 party makes risk to get blacklisted lower?

@Anatoliy I'm not a big expert either. But what I understand is that spammers can create as many domain names as they want and flood mailboxes using SMTP addresses from their domain names, so sending emails via your own server presents the risks being considered a spammer. Third-party services are identified as trusted providers because they will detect any suspicious email sending internally. If you subscribe to one of these services and start spamming then you will have a good chance of having your account blocked/deleted.

SPF, dkim, dmark were invented to prove that it sent by real domain owner, and not by someone who pretends to be the one.

I guess the only situation when forum owner really needs to use mail sending service is when a forum on shared hosting and hundreds domain's are sharing an IP. One of them is spammer, IP got blacklisted, all of them in troubles.

But I might be wrong. )

I have all this configured on my server, what's stopping me from spamming now?
Nothing)
But you'll get blacklisted regardless you do it via your server's smtp or Amazon's.

What those SPF/dkim/dmark do is doesn't allow me to spam, pretending I'm you, by putting your mail address as 'sent from'.

Why are you asking me questions about a subject that you know better than me? You want to humiliate me, right?

I shared the info in my head.
The way I understand it . But there is no guaranty that I understand it right .

In fact while we talk I'm subscribing to Amazon ses. Well, trying to. It looks like they don't send confirmation code to Ukraine.
