Am I correct in that even with Media Gallery, members are NOT able to upload a video directly from their computer? That it has to go through something like YouTube.com?

Yes, that is correct. Once uploaded to youtube, you can embed the youtube link into the gallery.

You are able to upload videos with sonnb's Video Uploader.

When the thread is about video uploads to XFMG, your post reads as though that add-on works with XFMG. It's irrelevant what it says once you click the link, you should have made that clear in your post. As it is, the post is not relevant anyway as the OP is asking about XFMG only which they own, they aren't asking about other products.
