XF 1.1 Video display in post

I want to give my students a list of youtube videos
it will be awkward to have them actually display in the post as there's 10 of them.
How can I show a list of links without each video embedding?

You can disable auto-embed (at least temporarily):

Admin CP -> Home -> Options -> Messages -> Auto-Embed Media Links

You could use the 'Plain' BBcode but that won't give you clickable links, only the URL.

Another option could be to use a link shorting service.

Wouldnt that make them embed when I enable it again?

No. The auto-embed action is only at the time of posting.

Can't you just type out an English title of the video and link on that?

you can also do this...

• paste a link in the editor so it looks like this....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tdfqa41K8k​

• delete the http:// part at the beginning

www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tdfqa41K8k​

• highlight that whole thing...

• and then click the insert/edit link button in the editor...

• ..paste the full link again in the popup

it sounds like a lot but once you have done it once or twice it is really quick
