VerticalScope Inc Headed toward Bankruptcy?

They destroyed so many forums back in the day, especially the big automotive ones. Made cash offers that owners couldn't refuse and then ran those sites into the ground.
That’s why their company is failing. They shouldn’t have purchased so many forums if they couldn’t keep them active. The Admin Zone used to be a great forum, and now it’s a ghost town. They purchased TAZ as well.

I stepped quietly away from The Admin Zone (TAZ) sometime ago. I assume Vertical Scope still owns it but the last time I looked it was completely dead which is almost certainly due to a complete lack of management.
Ah ok thanks for letting me know

I rarely visit TAZ anymore. Back in the days like 2010 it was very active. Like you said it's a ghost town.

Based on their latest financials, it seems the company improved its loss position year over year. It still seems to generate over $12MM in advertising revenue annually. There seems to be a heavy debt level and they just had a court certify a class action law suit against them related to RateMD.

All in their public disclosure.

Yeah, in part because they got rid of staff. LOL Wages and consulting dropped to 6,940,033 from 8,342,825. How is a company this old still losing so much money? I can understand investing in a start up tech company that is losing money, but these people have been around a long time. Alphabet had $307 billion in sales and $74 billion in net income. Imagine if they were still reporting a loss after 2 decades. LOL

Chicken feed for a business with this much overhead and interest debt. How is a company with this little revenue even public? There are meme coins nobody has heard of worth 12m.
All in their public disclosure.
Attached for any curious.

Saw this on Glassdoor. LOL I guess Canada was too cold.

i think a lot of people did.
i know tracy had a major issue with them and some of their actions.
he asked them to delete his account there.
i have read over there and am waiting on approval to join their site.
but it appears to be a desolate wasteland.
i see more activity over on admin junkies.

TAZ sure isn't what it used to be. To be honest I was more of an Admin Extra person when those two sites were competing before the merge.

Appreciate the shout-out.

I would appreciate an introduction to a VerticalScope team member. .. really curious how they run their forums. Do they attend any events? I’d probably fly halfway around the world to meet them at a business event or two.

It’s easy to criticize someone, and even easier to mismanage a forum you’ve purchased (I know how that feels). Their experience is invaluable.
