I want to move out from vb4 as soon as possible

I think you should consider looking at the new importer (in beta 2)
it may include new ways of doing things

Thats fine, not that have any interest in the content, other than making it import ok.

There are a few minor changes in Beta2, which ive migrated into the vb4 importer, plus a few changes and bug fixes of my own. v1.19 uploaded.

I am in the middle of the import...stuck at "Processing Blogss"....how long is this part supposed to take?

I have a small forum (100,000 posts, 1000 users) and maybe only 20 or so blogs. Not showing any progress here. It's been like 40 minutes. All the previous steps went pretty quick. Acts like it is still going (animated progress indicator). Should I keep waiting?

I went out of that screen (left the import), then back into the import, then chose continue importing and that fixed it. It went from 15 to 94 almost instantly. I am on to the next step. Bug maybe?

20 blogs shouldnt take more than a minute or two.

It obviously stalled. Unless you try it again, there is no way to know if it was just a blip, or it got stuck on something.

I do see a bug in the screenshot though, blogs has an extra 's'.

EDIT: Ok, I see them in the node tree. Must be a permissions issue.

Only admins and moderators have permission to see them.

As I recall, I think you need to have your primary usergroup as admin or moderator as well.

Nope, there is no facility to import smilies via the importer.

As far as I can recall (its years since I used impex) then its a fairly similar process.
