XF 1.1 VBSEO to Xenforo New Installation Problems?

I just bought my 2nd license to Xenforo as I'm ready to switch my old Vbulletin forum to Xenforo. :)

I'm have issues trying to install Xenforo to the new folder /community/ on my new website.
When I go to the /community/install file I get the Xenforo template error...

The page you requested could not be found.

What am I doing wrong here?
My first xenforo install did not give me this problem. o_O

I downloaded 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 to /community/ and /forum/ just to test multiple New instalations and directories. When I go to the URL I still get the error with Xenforo template.

The folder that I am using for install says FULL and not UPGRADE. I made sure when downloading the file from Xenforo that the box wasn't checked for the upgrade folder. I've downloaded the fresh install file for both 1.3 and 1.4 in separate folders and get the same issue.

Here I am thinking upgrading from VB with vbseo to xenforo would be difficult and I can't get passed uploading the files to my server...

SMH :(

You don't have the first xenforo install in the root directory do you? If you have have xenforo installed in root and then you are trying to put a second install in root/community...it could be the htaccess in the root that is putting a kink in things (this is just an assumption, not knowing how you have your directories set up)

I also just vbulletin
do it like this:
  • 1) www/test / (contents of folders & files "xf"[full install])
  • 2)* I created a database for "xf"
  • 3) am installing "xf" with url http://mondomain.com/test/install
  • :rolleyes: At this point so you have two forums "vb" and "XF" ("xf" via the URL / test /)
  • 4) after the administration panel option I imported "vb" in "xf"
  • 5) I chose to create the table "archives_imports" (to keep the old "url's")
*=in your database you must have two distinct base
something like this:
your name from the database. com
  1. vb_
  2. xf_

you must specify "url" of your database /www/library/ config.php?
:rolleyes:
you must create a new database for "xf" and indicate in the config.php

if you have two databases and it does not work, clear your cookies

I created a separate database for the xenforo install.

The problem is not being able to start the install without the script telling me the page is not found.

How do you indicate the database settings to the config.php file?

you just enter the name of the database "xf"
;)

the. rename the ".htaccess" for "1.htaccess" (the one in / www).
to go http://www.texasinshorefishing.com/test/install/
PHP:
//$config ['enableListeners'] =  false ;

$config['db']['host'] = 'mysql-host.com';

$config['db']['port'] = '3306';

$config['db']['username'] = 'username';

$config['db']['password'] = 'passowrd';

$config['db']['dbname'] = 'dbname_2';

$config['cache']['enabled'] = true;
try "localhost" in "$ config ['db'] ['host']"

réédit:

go into your account and download the full version install

So I tried using a new installation on a test domain using the same steps and it easily goes through.:confused:

So I'm really lost here guys.o_O

The file I'm uploading is 100% the FULL version and not the UPGRADE.

What would cause this hangup?

Is it something to do with the VB 4.2 and using VBSEO?
