RM 1.2 Using URLs of Downloads (Resources)

We are using the resource manager as a downloads manager for files. We want to be able to link to the URLs of these files in another area to avoid re-uploading them in a library.

Can the URLs of the files themselves be found and linked directly to, and if so, how.

The files themselves are not directly exposed. You would need to link to the specific download URL given in a resource (which means the download would go through the RM's system and permission checks).

How would we learn the specific download URL?

You'd view the resource and choose to copy the URL from the "download now" button.
