XF 2.1 Users active meaning?

Hello, can you explain better what does "Users active" chart means?
Does it track members logged in each day?

Thanks!

Sorry, I see that "Users active" metric is very confusing.

In my forum, every time I check stats widget, I have between 100 and 150 users active
(10% members - 90% visits > or 9/1 ratio > there are 9 more visits per each member
I consider that you count both members and visits for users active stats

No matter what time of the day I check (morning, evening, night), I always have those stats.
It is strange, because those users are not the same, they are different users during the day.
So if I have 100 users active in the morning and 100 different users at night,
Shouldn´t I expect to have 200 users active a day?

Another way to analyze it:
I have a custom addon that lists me a all users names with last login date.
I see I have average of 50 unique logged in users a day.
Given the 9/1 ratio I mention above, I should have 450 users active a day,
almost 4 times more than xenforo users active stats says!

I would appreciate some comment so I can understand better xenforo users active metric

Thanks a lot!

Sorry, I think I confused "Members online" with "Users Active"

My "members online" are near 150, no matter what day and hour I check
(so they must be different members for example If I check at 10:00 am or 04:00 pm)

Then your "Users Active" should average "Members online" during a day,
so If I have 150 members online in the morning, and 150 different members online at night,
then "Users Active" should be 300 a day. Am I right?

No, because they could be the same members visiting multiple times a day.

A member is only counted once in the active users stat.
