XF 2.2 User promoted into secondary group

Hello all,
Asking here because I couldn't find any solution to the problem I have.
Here some context.
I have defined for years a promotion rule that is defined:
- to promote the user into group Membres confirmés et présentés
1722756955905.webp
- once he/she has at least one thread inside a forum called Nous
1722756981077.webp

The thing is that this has worked for years but since a couple of weeks, the users are promoted into secondary group and not in the main one.

I really don't understand why and don't know to handle it, perhaps do you have any idea?

Thank you

SliN

This is not a XenForo criteria, it comes from an add-on (probably not 2.3 compatible), maybe you can ask to the add-on dev?

Theoretically any member is in the Registered usergroup, even admins, mods, etc. Then we personalize their permissions with those of a second usergroup. Is that how you set things up? https://xenforo.com/community/resources/implementing-permissions-across-multiple-user-groups.358/

By the way, where did you get your French translation?

Thank you for your reply.
You are right the specific critera comes from an addon.
I'm still in 2.2 and the addon also.
I will ask the dev, good suggestion.
But what I would like to know is: "Is the promotion system aims to promote the users into the secondary group by default ?"
If I just read the explanation text, it seems to be the main group that is updated.

Regarding second point, I didn't know this article, I will read carefully to check I'm following the principle.

If I remember weel, I get the translation from a french xenforo forum but It was at the very beginning of xenforo 2
Sinci I have updating the translation strings by my own.

He will be promoted to the user group intended by the promotion as a secondary user group. It remains in the primary user group. In fact this principle allows you to configure general permissions for all users, then add or remove permissions with secondary groups, which avoids having to configure all the permissions for each group each time.
