XF 1.2 User name, inbox, and alerts hidden somehow

Okay I must have messed something up a while back... I just noticed that the user name, inbox, and alerts are missing on the menu bar.

Anyone know where I may have messed things up?

Without a test account, we won't see those regardless. Do they appear on a new, unedited default style?

Create a new style with no parent.

Just so I'm sure about the terminology... if you create a style with a "parent" it duplicates the old style into the new one?

Creating a style with no parent will have the style inherit its templates from the master style; which is the default style.

Create a new style and make it a child style of the style you want to duplicate.
