XF 1.5 User Group Promotions and Banners

I've set up a new user group and created a Promotion criteria of when poster X reaches 1000 posts he is promoted to that group. However I want the poster to automatically receive a new banner when he reaches 1000 posts and is in the new user group but it's not happening, the banner doesn't appear on his post bit.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or can't it be done? Thanks.

Is the user being promoted as you expect? If so, then the issue is likely down to your display styling priority and/or user group banner settings.

(Note that promotions are not instant.)

If I go to one users profile I can see that he's in the new secondary user group so it looks like he's been automatically added to the group but I can't really see where in the user group banner settings that would stop the banner from appearing. Bit lost really.

Solved it. I hadn't entered the title in 'User Banner Text.'
