XF 2.1 User can't see editor icons

I have a user on an iPad who cannot see the editor icons or the share icons, they are all replaced by empty boxes. Does anyone know what might be wrong? No one else is having problems with iPads. Thanks in anticipation.

Sounds like font awesome is not supported on that device/browser.

But then why is only one user having the problem?
