    Good morning guys,
    I have a problem with installing Xenforo.
    I followed the Installation/Upload instructions
    step by step.
    I uploaded all successfully and I have set the CHMOD 0777
    on 'DATA' and 'INTERNAL_DATA' folder's.
    But if I open the link for the webspace to install the forum I get
    redirected to: /install/index.php

    With this error message:

    An exception occurred: No entry is registered for key 'db' in /home/www/cwcity/hosting/s/o/songohanhd/htdocs/library/XenForo/Application.php on line 834

    1. XenForo_Application::get() in XenForo/Application.php at line 1121
    2. XenForo_Application::getDb() in XenForo/Error.php at line 45
    3. XenForo_Error::unexpectedException() in XenForo/Application.php at line 309
    4. XenForo_Application::handleException()

    The site I wanted to use is http://songohanhd.cwsurf.de

    This is usually an indication of the files not being uploaded correctly. I would reupload all of the contents of the /install directory (and subdirectories) to start.

    So I have to upload only the /install directory?
    Damn my bad I thought all files of the /upload directory :s

    Okay let's try it out.
    And thanks for the reply, I write here if it worked or not :)

    No, I was recommending reuploading the install directory only. You need to have all of the files uploaded. The error you got indicated that the files were not necessarily uploaded in the correct locations.

    To be safe, I would restart the whole install process, possibly deleting all of the uploaded files and redoing it.

    I uploaded into the 'htdocs' directory.
    But still not working... I don't understand that :(

    Finally done it,
    I use another way now...
    That cwsurf is possible to use?Maybe!
    But I use a friend's root to make the Forum public now.
    And I understand now how to install it step by step.
    I did some mistakes, one if them was put the 'Upload' the
    files into the wrong directory.
    So it was not possible to read some files.
    AND my MySQL Version was too low.
    Now I 'fixed' all but no more on that cwsurf crap..

    Thanks for all help and have a nice day!

    Nicely regards,
