XF 1.4 Upgrading to Xenforo 1.4.2 Error.

Upon running the 1.4.2 upgrade we are getting the following error:

I'm upgrading from 1.4.1 -> 1.4.2

First time I've encountered an issue on upgrade. Have done numerous in the past all the way since 1.1.3 and never had an issue.

This happens during "Processing: importing admin templates"

It's due to the User Essentials add on.

See that post from Mike. Add that line to config.php and you should be allowed to enter your control panel. Install the latest version of User Essentials and re-run the upgrade or complete any manual rebuilds that are outstanding.

Inputting that line into my config.php does indeed re-enable my forum from the upgrading message, however the admin panel - when clicking "Admin" is completely empty and does not show up.

There's a couple of things that may get the rebuild to proceed. But access to the database may be required and it may not work but worth a try.

• Find the table xf_addon
• Look in the table for the User Essentials add on
• Set the active field to 0 for User Essentials
• Navigate to: http://yoursite.com/install
• If there is an option to rebuild master data or continue the upgrade or start the upgrade again then do that.

In theory with the add on disabled it shouldn't try to apply the TM.

Now update User Essentials because, theoretically, the same thing will happen again, but Daniel has fixed it in the latest version of User Essentials.
