Upgrading MySQL version to MySQL 8

Currently, we are using XF 2.2 with MySQL 5.5.61. We were planning to upgrade to MySQL 8, could you please guide us on what kind of impact to expect when we do the upgrade.

You could set up a test VPS and do a trial run to highlight any problems - VPS's are very cheap today
