XF 2.1 Upgrading from XenForo 1.5.14 to xf2.1 rc1

Has anyone experienced a plank page when running install with this upgrade? It's just a white empty page with no errors or anything.

It is not something I recall being reported, no.

Such a fault would usually indicate that PHP has crashed. There may be errors logged in the PHP or web server error log.

At what point does the blank page happen? Is it as soon as you go to install/? Do you get a different result if you go straight to the upgrade URL which is install/index.php?upgrade/?

No errors logged anywhere. It happens as soon as I hit return on install/
I'll try install/index.php?upgrade/ and get back to you.

Using install/index.php?upgrade/ got the same results. Blank screen, no server or php errors

Update - uploaded xf2.0.12 update, ran install and got this error

Any ideas as to what the Fatal Error is about and how to fix?

Can you check what value you have for the database port in your library/config.php file?

$config['db']['port'] = '';

That should be:

$config['db']['port'] = 3306;

Or whatever the correct port is.

I found another with port 3306, changed that and now it's upgrading
