I am just upgrading to XF 1.3.1

    .. and got this message:

    --------------------------

The following warnings were detected when verifying that your server can run XenForo:
    • Your server has disabled core PHP functions via the disable_functions directive in php.ini. Depending on the functions that have been disabled, this may cause unexpected problems in XenForo. All PHP functions should be enabled.
These may affect the proper execution of XenForo at times and should be resolved if possible.

    -------------------------

What do I need to do in order to fix this ?

    Many thanks!

Read the upgrade thread... this has been asked about extensively elsewhere here also.
Here is just one recent one.
All it means is that you (or your host) has some functions are disabled in the systems php.ini. These disabled functions may be required - or may not.
I get it because I have some functions disabled for security reasons and it runs fine.
