[Tinhte] Image Attachment Optimization 2.3.0 20170315

No permission to download
Dinh Thanh, the quick reply feature doesn't work when the addon is activated. It loads and loads until an error prompts. After deactivating it, it started to work again.

My forum need these features so I created & updated this add-on. Any new features I added I still update them here.

Of course I can release (update) it slower. But why ? :)
you can see, Xenforo.com is slower now, even someone are leaving, saying good bye...

Oh! I was just confused. I have seen alot of great add-ons but when I used them I have to wait a long time till the next upgrade. So I was very impress how you keep upgrading your add-on so fast. Good for you and the community :)

OK. I'm now using MaxCDN (y)

And the attachments are still not showing.

I have no idea what is wrong.

cdn.sociallyuncensored.com is what I'm using for MaxCDN

Make sure you add a trailing slash cdn.sociallyuncensored.com/
With this turned on
http://cdn.sociallyuncensored.com/attachments/l_cd5d4b8a6bf6eb5f1fd153d0b005def1-gif.682/

with this turned off

http://www.sociallyuncensored.eu/forums/attachments/l_cd5d4b8a6bf6eb5f1fd153d0b005def1-gif.682/

The actually physical location would be

sociallyuncensored.com/data/attachments/0/l_cd5d4b8a6bf6eb5f1fd153d0b005def1-gif

At least that is where I assume attachments go by default (inside /data/ as there is no attachment folder in root)

Edit: And yes, I have tried cdn.sociallyuncensored.eu/
Just to be safe and still no joy

The default data in the CDN is demo data.... delivering some images via a different domain is not a CDN, and in fact, would slow your load down as it would be perceived as an external source the software has to load from. A CDN is a distribution of servers around the globe in which allows you to put specific files upon so that your users grab certain data locally, which thus speeds up their browsing experience of your site by reducing the ping and load upon a single or multiple server setup.

You don't need a CDN unless you're delivering extreme levels of images / files, ie. a photo site or download site, would benefit from using a CDN service, as users are grabbing large data locally from a server in their region versus one across the globe.
I can confirm this. I bought 8thos.net just to see if it would speed it up if I made 8thos.net a cookie-less domain and CDN.

It did not. :(

So I'm sticking with static.8thos.com for now.

I think I'll just rename it cdn.8thos.com

...

but then I'd have to change my resource... no I don't... whatever.

...

Changing it to cdn cause it sounds cooler!

Okay I see the problem. It's not uploading it to the CDN. Attachments upload like normal as if the addon wasn't installed at all, but when you try to view the attachment after the upload it redirects you to the cdn path Sup with that?

This addon don't setup or upload any thing to your CDN. You must set it up first then config your cdn path on this addon setting. The addon will use CDN Domain for all image attachments.

OK... I'm determined to make this work

( let's get past the vocabulary )

Website is sociallyuncensored.eu
Static files are sociallyuncensored.com
Using MaxCDN I have a pull zone for cdn.sociallyuncensored.com

Using this modification I have it setup for cdn.sociallyuncensored.com/

But attachments do not show up when using that CDN in this modification.

Thoughts?
