XF 1.5 Time limit on editing/deleting own posts

Hi,

I'm trying to set a time limit on editing own post for a single user and for some reason it doesn't seem to work.

admin.php/users/user permissions/test user

The user should only be able to edit their post for 1 min right? It works fine on usergroup but not for an individual.

So what I'm trying to do isn't possible & requires an addon?

Fresh install, usergroup "registered"

Permissions:


User "test" permissions:



After 1 minute user can still edit post.

I also tried Andys addon as suggested above and that didnt work. Am i doing something wrong?

So how would it be possible for usergroup "registered" to always be able to edit & a user of my choice be time limited? Can you give me an example of setting please.

Create a sub group, add all registered users to this group (criteria in user group promotion), give this group the ability to delete their posts without limits, remove that group from your test user and exclude him from receiving the promotion (e.g. name block or give him another group).

That's a lot of messing about, just so one user is time limited on editing posts.

Is that really the only way?

Well, you could actually just disable this functionality for the user entirely.
