Thread Tag Importers - Allows you to retroactively import thread tags from vBulletin and IP Board

We released XenForo 1.5.6 today which adds support for importing content tags from vBulletin and IP Board. That will only work for new imports, however.

This add-on will allow you to retroactively import tags from these forums.

This add-on utilises code from XenForo 1.5.6 and therefore can only be installed if you are running XenForo 1.5.6.

Just head on over to Admin CP > Tools > Import External Data and...

Is necessary the upload the old database vbulletin forum from the import the tags?
I entered my xenforo database data and does not work

Yes, you will need the old database as that's where the data you're importing is found.

well, this add-on sort of imported a mere 96 rows for me... it has not imported the tags as desired...

If you submit a ticket with access details for PhpMyAdmin then I'll take a closer look. It could be a bug in the importer code, or there could be something wrong with this add-on.

Worked fine here other than me scurrying around to find and old but most up to date vb.sql, look through all old archives for a good config.php to get db details out of.

My old site is still running on the server... so there is no question of picking up the wrong database.

Chris D updated Thread Tag Importers with a new update entry:

Improvements

XenForo 1.5.7 introduced some improvements to the tag importing process, and this version of the add-on includes a fix which may have caused some tags to not import correctly.

As such, you cannot install or upgrade this add-on unless you are running XF 1.5.7 so please upgrade first.

After that, upgrade to this version of the add-on and the tag import process should work fine from there.

Does this do exactly the same as the full vB 3.7/3.8 core importer, which now (I don't know, when it was introduced) does import content tags in xf 1.5.7?

I would say "yes":

Indeed.

We added the ability to import tags in XF 1.5.6, this add-on isolates those importer steps allowing them to be run on their own for sites who have already imported to XF without importing the thread tags.
