Thinking of using XenForo but have some big questions.

1. Is there an addon that allows for different post types? So instead of just a standard post there are extra fields which can be added and required to be filled? If nothing is like this, is anyone in the forum able to make one for a price?

2. Is there an addon for users to search boards. So if there are 1000’s of boards in the forum they can search for the one they want.

3. Is this website using a theme? http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/ If not, any similar?

4. Are there any cool user points/achievements addons to incentivise users to post or partake in the forum?

5. Is there and addong for users to make reviews or guides similar to how a blog would work?

I have even more questions but I appreciate these being answered first!

Hi,

1) Not that I have seen but have a look at the RM. If you can not find one then you can request it at the Request forum and hopefully someone will code it for you.

2) Not sure that I understood what you meant. Anyway, xenforo had a very good search system that will allow you to search for stuff in particular forum(s).

3) Yes, by the look of it that site is using a custom style.

4) There are several points/credit/banking mods. You can find them in the RM.

5) Yes, there are a couple of blog add ons available.

Hmm some great features. Thank you both.

I'm worried about over modding my forum in style and addons. It may cause problems when things update. I wish I could build my site before buying XenForo to test it out.
