Thinking of moving to Linode

thats the other thing; its scalable.
if i come to the realisation that i need more ram, i dont need to jump up to the next 'plan'. i just add more ram to my existing account.

i cant say enough good things about my linode experience.
Any reason you can think of that the $20/m 512MB account would not work for a xf forum? I am using a cpanel vps, and cpanel consumes a bit of memory - and we are using less than 512MB at this time.

Another thumbs up for linode. A development company I currently contract out to has an account with them.

Some the company designers aren't Linux savy, so I ended up installing ISPConfig, which allows them to still have control. It's a lightweight control panel that is also free.

I love my Linode 512. I don't have a control panel installed and run Lighttpd. I didn't have a lot of Linux experience and just followed some tutorials. It's been a great learning experience. I also ended up getting the daily backups option which makes restoring my server a snap (I've never had to restore my server, but I have tested it just to be sure).

Thanks for that, looks like some really useful info there that I could use.
