Hey Jo :D How was Israel?

sorry to hear you are not well, but you are just in time for the xenforo sale :D

Hey :) It was awesome! I seriously, seriously didn't want to come home to freezing cold and wet England lol. I love that country and I had a really good time. Made some great new friends too! :)

How are you?

oh and yay for the xf sale! :)

Liz it looks like things have been a bit of a headache for the developers! And yep, I had a really nice time thanks. :)

That's great :D All the people I know who have been there loved it. I'm sure the weather was very pleasant by comparison :D hehe

I am fine thanks hun, haven't slept for 4 days now, will be very happy when this sale begins :p just hoping I don't pass out and miss it at this stage :p

It was very hot! 40 degrees in the desert (and it didn't cool down at night!)... a bit cooler than that in Jerusalem but not much. The Israelis were complaining it was too hot lol, apparently it was the hottest summer on record. :)

Yikes hun, no sleep for 4 days - that's no good! I hope you will be able to get some really good sleep after all this hoo-ha!!

40 is soooo hot, we get those temps here in Summer too, last Summer we had a week of well over 45 argh! That's unusual that the temp didn't drop at night in the Desert, wonder why?

Thanks lovely, I will get plenty of sleep on the weekend :p Hopefully I will be able to to sleep tonight.

Just had some good tips from someone on getting to sleep, so fingies crossed!

yeah when I was sleeping in a Bedouin tent in the desert, I was waiting for the temp to drop but it just didn't haha! I decided I had just better get used to the idea of sweating all night long lol. It was very humid too! I was hoping for clear skies (for stargazing) but it was really hazy - maybe that's why the temp didn't drop - who knows!

Oh good - I hope the tips come through for you and you manage to get some good sleep! Sounds like you will need to sleep for a week!

Tent sounds so romantic.. I'll bet the reality wasn't as ideal though :p Yeah the cloud cover would account for the humidity and keeping the temps up at night I guess. Sounds like it was a really interesting experience anyway Jo :D

And fanks :)

oh it was definitely an awesome experience!! I'd have loved to have been able to spend more time there! Here's a pic of the sun setting over the oasis we stayed at in the desert. :)

Phew quite a day with the big war zone with IB ... silly idiots gave loads of free publicity to XF by sending a message to all the VB forum warning them off it!

Anyway I GOT MINE!
Two little baby XFs ever so sweet.

Now I just need that Wordpress bridge. But I can use XF on one of them.

WOW, we got buried! Under a ton of Off-Topic posts. I know I need a breather...I can't even imagine how K/M/A feel and the mods.

And to top it all off...I finally had my root canal done on Tues, felt under the weather ever since. My jaw aches...not hurt so much as just ache.

My co-owner and I decided to close the scrapping store. We weren't making headway in an overburdened niche. I was ready to move on and they all have been able to find new homes in other stores so no lose of income for them. It was a good run but my focus has shifted. We were open almost 3 years.

I suspect we will get new members in shortly because this will head to the top when I hit post. Hopefully the guys will observe the "Ladies Only" part?

Everyone's too busy to GOSSIP?
Shame on you girls!

Didja know that GOSSIP comes from GODSIP = a woman who joined a group of women helping someone give birth - with plenty of cakes, alcohol to toasdt mama after she zonked out afterwards!
So its root is about a strong web of mutual support. Also *****ing sure but the main job priority is support when needed.

Elizabeth I didn't understand the last bit but you sound happy about your main decision and it must be a relief to get the root canal out the way. So I'm glad things are falling into place.

Me I'm coming up out of a bad health year and finally getting to the point where I have small bits of spare energy. Tidied up the shampoos and bath things ... carried in a bag of shopping myself no asking for help ... swam 20 lengths ... two days now with no nap ... ooooh Fountain of Youth I'm here!

Hey Shanj,

Glad to hear you are now well immersed in the fountain of youth!!! Delicious stuff :D

Liz.. glad you got the root canal, and if the decision eases your stress levels, then it was definitely a good one! :)

Thanks for the pic Jo. Looks very picturesque!

We keep losing this thread!
Shanj, yes, I am feeling a relief to close my scrapping store. We were in a market that in the three years we were open just became so overrun that those of us selling products were outdone by those giving them away. And if someone has a choice, free is usually the way they go. Assuming everything else is equal.

Glad you found your Fountain of Youth...want to pass it along?

Jo, the photo looks very picturesque as Kim said. I would not have survived it but that's me. I'm glad you had a good time.

I was seriously lacking sleep this week as well...finally getting caught up this weekend.

Fall is in full swing here altho we are having some warmer than normal days (got to 80F) but the nights feel great. Perfect weather for the leaves to turn. As soon as it hits peak, will be taking photos.

Wow.. haven't we all had a lack of sleep week! lol I am still not nearly caught up on sleep, but last night I think I had 5 hours, which is an improvement!!!

Been working my butt off, trying to finish a whole bunch of IPB Custom Skins and learning/building my first xenforo themes.. mmmm spexy xenforo, but it is SOoooOOOoOoOoooo different to IPB, taking a fair bit to get my head around it. Super super easy to put out a nice looking colour change theme, but doing anything complex is so very different to how I do it in IPB.. but getting there with a little bit of help from friends in high places :D hehehe

How is everyone else doing?
