The majority of my users use it. Most people just want the ease of use of mobile. Responsive is not getting it done in my opinion for most mobile users. I personally don't use Tapatalk and don't like it, but I have to offer it and maintain it for my members which is most of them. Here is a snap shot just now, almost all members are on it. The question is, how many users DO NOT come to your site because its not offered. I guess if you don't know, it really doesn't matter then. Please feel free to move this post, but I can't think of a better place to ask.
What is the benefit of using an app? I ditched this ages ago but still the occasional user wants an app.
Despite making sure every page is fully responsive and more functional than any app could ever be (apps don't factor in mods and other customisations) people still sometimes ask for an app and get disappointed when the request is rejected.
I'm curious what everyone here sees as the benefits because I'm really struggling to "get it" and justify giving into user request.

Sure, the kind of laziness that results in not reading a thread you posted in where people tell you why they use it
Have I just been beamed into the twilight zone?
this plugin failed in every script, mybb, phpbb, xenforo so that is my point of use this plugin
It's a free product and many are happy it exists.. It being free, people really should stop complaining about bugs and issues and be happy they are making updates and improvements. If your unsatisfied with the level of testing before releases and time it takes to resolve bugs, code it yourself then.. After all they could be putting the time and effort they do into their paid version instead of their free version.

Totally disagree...it is NOT free for the users - only for the forum owners...all my users have paid for the app, so I don't know where you are getting free from. AND...when something better comers along, I will switch.
