TaigaChat - AJAX shoutbox

I've had the runtime error too, and maybe it can be dulpicated.

Login to the site. DO NOT select the option "stay logged in". View the shoutbox page. Make a few shouts or whatever. Walk away for a few hours and then come back. The pop-up shoutbox error will be there.

I don't know if that's what caused it for me, it's only a best guess.

Will give that a try, thanks :)

I have a test site, it still has the data from the conversion. I had planned on deleting that and reinstalling everything to test a back up I have of the live site.

I will do that this week and install your mod and keep everything else stock and then get those users to come over and play around in that and see if we can duplicate it on a stock site, if they can I will get them to take some screen shots.

I really like this add on and my members will miss it if I don't turn it back on. :)

You also stated you are using it with Flexile style, which seems to be reporting many peculiarities and issues from users... try on a default style, then if it works, you know its the style. With all the JS being used in XF, designers need to be careful on what new JS they introduce that could cause conflicts vs. using as much as possible that exists already.

I use this on a default style, only coloured and minor changes, and it works absolutely perfect, however; because I also use CometChat, which introduces a lot of its own JS, in some browsers if the cometchat bar is open, the shoutbox throws out of the style and moves within the screen... but only does it in Firefox, not chrome or Opera. When you close cometchat, removing the cometchat JS, it sits fine again.

I was thinking the same thing, in the test site I am going to reinstall I will use just the default skin.. if that turns out to be the case, that' an easy fix. :)

Honestly, I love the Flexile style, but I was thinking about playing with the colors of the default style and going with that anyways. Since we're still in beta I have been thinking that running a close to default site now is best.

Thanks,
Jamie

I am using flexile, doesn't have the runtime error problem after upgraded to latest version except when the network connection is very slow.
The topx stat usually cause this problem.

I have tried getting the shoutbox to show up in a xenporta module. But I just can't get it to work. Anyone who can show me a module that works?

Looking forward to the next update on this, although I know the OP has been very busy with other add-ons.

As long as the URL option is coded I'll be a happy man ;)

When I upgraded from Beta 3 to Beta 4, I lost the shoutbox page, and the navigation tab. Going to uninstall and reinstall, see if that does it.

Dark, looking forward to an upgrade on this. :)

Check your templates, the edits. Mine did it on upgrade and now all is okay again.
Yeah I'm using the Flexile style, and the navigation template has alot of customizations, so I have to wait til Erik upgrades Flexile.

I lost my shoutbox as well. I do have 3 template files showing outdated but none affect the shoutbox.

Thanks friend, am reverting them now. The xenforo staff have thought of just about everything in the way of end user needs.
