Any plan of creating Classified ad addon?
I know there is one available, but it''s too buggy.
Not fully functional.

I actually intended on using something like this for my site but was going to go with a separate script. You have made every addon I've needed to redo my site the way I wanted. A donation will be coming your way soon.

I'll be watching this addon for more advanced moderation. Thanks for all the shares!

My hands are a bit full

If anyone can reproduce this bug:
" EI Bug, filter drop down selector redirects incorrectly -"

let me know the step to reproduce. I used to be able to reproduce it, but I either no longer know the steps to reproduce / have fixed it in some version? It seems like the drop down filters work as expected, I've been testing this with IE 9

I am getting an error with regards to creating an ad, above the ad prefix and title section is a broken image icon that is the "location" drop down.
It is calling for a directory that does not exist at all.

"/data/images/SelectLocation.jpg"

Am I missing or need to install additional ad ons?

Thats an option, you can either add an image, our turn off this option in the ACP:

Display Prefix Prompt
When creating a directory listing, display an image to prompt the user to select a prefix (you will need to create your own image)

Hi tenants, it looks like a fantastic add-on...

I've got one question here: does this add-on let you set permission at the sub-directory level? To be specific, in the Description section of this add-on, you gave example as the directory can go up to 5 categories deep
USA>>Texas>>Cities ....

I am wondering if you can set permission at the subdirectory 'Texas' level and the levels below that? Say I have a usergroup 'Texas', I would like ONLY people from that usergroup access the subdirectory 'Texas' and the levels below it. Is this achievable?

Thanks!

Sorry, no.

The permissions are directory level, not setable for sub-directories (there wouldn't be any easy way of doing that, since XenForo would need a way to know about the sub directories before the permissions were set on them)

Hi tenants,

I undertand XenForo would need a way to know about the sub dirs before allowing permissions set on them, but isn't a subdirectory a forum, too(when creating the sub directory, you have to choose the type forum, right?)? Maybe I am wrong, I thought since all the sub directories created under the root directory are children of the root Directory, the permissions should be passed from parents to children unless they are set specifically at the sub directory levels.

In the Application> Node Tree page, if you can list all the sub directories(sub-forums) for the Directory in that interface - like how the categories/forums are handled in xenForo, then it would be possible to choose the 'Permissions' from the 2nd column of the Node Tree listing. Then once you enter the Applications> Node Tree> Permissions page, you would have the choice of making that node(the sub directory) as a 'Private node', and just like the regular forum node, you would also be able to change the View Node permission to Allow for the usergroup you want it to have access to that sub directory...

You can add attachment files (in the same way you do to a thread), but after creation
[Or on creation, point to a logo URL)]

I think a slightly better layout of attachments, and being able add attachments on creation would be better... I'll look into it (too busy right now for this free plugin)

Just putting my quarterly request in for being able to sort in zip order (for USA) or by states - or by miles in the map view!

Many sites need national directories of dealers of a certain product or service, and this would be perfect if I could sort in zip order!

So, sfdir_attachment_upload_button ?

Is there 'Premium Listing" functionality?

So users can pay via PayPal to have their listings either at the top or more boldly featured (or both)?

Thanks in davance

A few suggestion for the next release ...

i) Similar to the standard XF login button (near the top right), and a big 'Submit Listing' button just underneath the categories listing. Many have given feedback that it is hard to know how, and to find where, to be able to add their listing to the directory
ii) On the sub-menu navigation, next to 'New Listings' also have an entry to 'Updated Listings' to show and highlight those entries that have been recently edited/updated.
iii) Add a sidebar option for the same thinking as ii) above - thus a sidebar showing recently updated entries.

Ooooo, yes please :)

Or to advance this even further .... have the user type in their {post|zip}code, and the Directory has an option to sort the list of categories or search results entries by their {post|zip}code, with the closest at the top of the list, etc.
