Implemented Suggestion: Compulsory User Registration fields

hello, is it possible to make it so that admin can set what fields are compulsory to fill in when a new user registers?

e.g. Location , Language, Signature...etc

Russ I don't think so because I never heard of it. If I had it would that somehow be what is enabling it to work for me and not for others?

Yeah, foolbothoneypot has a separate login form that it uses to stop spam registration bots.

Re: customising the registration fields
I wanted to have a clean & simple registration process as possible.
The way I think of registration is each field is a hurdle that you make potential members jump over.
So I deleted (I.e. Edited the HTML in the template) the date of birth, sex & location. (Do you really need to know sex, date of birth or location? Most ppl enter random responses to these anyway)
Result:
A wonderful simple reg process.
Ps with the spam catcher / type the letters, numbers etc. ... It's cracked & I got many bots registering.
I changed it to a simple question that required a 3 letter answer that everyone in my community would know the answer to. Result: not 1 spam bot / spammer reg. in 2 years!
This might be useful knowledge to others.
