I am new here and trying to differentiate between the two.

I am also looking for a style/theme in Law Enforcement ie Police, Sheriff, etc.

A search did not reveal any? Thank you.

There is no difference between them.
It can be called theme, style, skin...

Not one that I know of for that theme exists.

You can have a look here to see if any match your criteria: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/categories/styles.29/

Thank you both for the prompt response and the pointer.

So basically theme/style/skin same thing. Got it. It will be easier to find what im looking for.

You won't find one.. but modifying either the free styles or the paid ones are not that hard.
Simple enough that even an tired old worn out beat cop could do it... I should know, I wuz one for 14.5 years. ;)

You could check out my Agile theme. The IPB version of that theme is currently powering one of the largest Police forums here in the UK :)

    Thank you Tracy and Tom.

I will try your suggestion on modifing a current style and definitely check out the link. I guess I have lots of reading to do. I know basic html and very minimal css. Hopefully it is not more than I can chew.

It appears this community is very helpful so I will definitely be around asking several questions.

Again, thank you all for your advice!
