Add-on StopForumSpam

Is there a WORKING version of StopForumSpam available for xenForo? Due to the 1.2 delay I need something. xenForo is simply too vulnerable to spam as it is right now.

Note: I do not wish to use this one: http://xenforo.com/community/resources/8wayrun-com-xenutiles-tools.104/

For two reasons:

I don't need all the other tools in it and I don't want to pay 50 dollars to remove branding.

As far as I know a branding removal is not necessary, there aren't any front page functions.
