XF 2.2 StopForumSpam matched (email) but not found when searching StopForumSpam

Just curious - I have a new user who registered today and I get StopForumSpam matched (email: blacklisted), which I understand to mean that StopForumSpam has blacklisted the email address used to register. However, when I go to the site *StopforumSpam.com) and search on the email in question, I get (0 entries found). I'm curious as to why I'd get a message that the email is blacklisted but yet the email doesn't come up when I search the StopForumSpam database?

I think I have some insight on this.

Blacklisted emails are generally a special case on their side. They won't be found through normal searches, they are instead blocked at a higher level. Indeed you would have to speak to SFS for the specific reason, but my understanding is generally it would be an email address which has been identified as being irrefutably a spammer, or specially constructed in such a way that it might be an attempt to get around spam checking, such as typos on the email domain, or a domain known to be a problematic source of spam sign ups.

I would generally trust that a blacklisted address does not belong to a valid user.
