If you read his site at one point or another. You'd know the answer to this. He made a thread with server specs, and he had a fleet of servers, swapped them out for the new servers. Quite the read, actually.

Care to post that, Mr. Hogan?

I do remember a post with a wall of text about the servers, I don't remember which thread. Meh, I think that's enough for now.
 
I'd offer to bake you a cake with a file hidden in it, but the whole 'no fences' thing makes that idea a bit redundant.

What are your plans if something like what happened recently with the power to your servers happens while you are in jail?

Some things you simply can't plan for... not like anything like this has happened in the last 20 years that I've run my own servers. If something unforeseen happens, then it does, and I'm sure I'll get emails about it. :)
 
Was doing some less interesting stuff earlier... right now just bringing database cluster online... It's *incredibly* slow on the initial load-in (and I also have about 400GB worth of databases).

Basically never a good idea if all nodes in a giant DB cluster (that stores everything in-memory) have their power pulled at the same time. :)
 
At least now I'll know right away (and be alerted) if anyone moves any equipment around in the data center and the amp draw fluctuates.

If by "Currently having a problem with your site" you mean you cannot access it; Digital Point is/was currently a victim of a large-scale DDoS attack.

I saw that but not the issue at hand. Was banned for spamming. Do I look like a spammer? Signed up, posted, tried to contribute, banned for it.

It could have been a mistake, you know. :)

I was accidentally banned for being a spammer one day on SEGA Forum because the management was having a tough time with spammers then. I just created another account, which is allowed there as long as it's not to cause trouble, and contacted a moderator I knew very well and was unbanned soon after my message was seen.
