Add-on Starting to do Addons

I have started to play around with addons for Xenforo. I am just wondering what people are interested in seeing. Any old addons people would like to see come back. I have started to mess with a few different things I have seen here from other people.

Could be interesting to release a few smaller ones to get me started.

The addons from XF1 that I miss the most are:

1. Multiple Profile covers slider. (like XFA Extended Cover had)
2. Thread Ratings / Thread reviews. (Same as Resource reviews, but for Threads)
3. Batch replace phrases. i.e. replace all Phrases with a certain text in it.
4. Meta Mirror (turn linked content into attachments)
5. OneSignal (Push notifications for guests)
6. Master Badge, but this is not a smaller one. (Trophies gamification system)

The only one I don't think I want to play around with is that OneSignal. Maybe I will look at it again down the road.

Master Badge have a file I could download somewhere? The last post for the topic has a addon release (XF2 Awards System). Did you like that one? I think I bought that one.

I have a few small ideas for some as well.

XF2 Awards System is somewhat similar to Master Badge. If you have that, then this will give you some inspiration. The difference with master badge is that AS connects awards to trophies, while Master Badge injects functionality into Trophies. Both approaches work.
As XF now includes Font-Awesome, it would make sense to be able to use FA icons instead of award images.

I don't care much for the functionality for users to request / demand awards. I don't think this particular functionality was used by many webmasters.

Pretty much all of AddonFlare's addons were very popular. It's a shame that he vanished.

Not exactly bringing an old addon back but, considering you want to get your hands dirty, I'd like to suggest the following:

Adds "New article" notification options to Siropu Chat 2

Currently it only supports XF 2.2 so the first and obvious step is making it 2.3 compatible. Looking at the developer's resource list this addon lost traction a couple of years ago - and it's strange because, to me, it was a fantastic idea, make two great addons (Chat and AMS) work together. But it is understood that the developer wants to focus on the addon that gives him/her profit.

However, and here's the second part, instead of using AMS, I'd like to use Xen-Customize's News Publisher.

My use case is currently I use Siropu Chat to show notifications in a room when a specific node of article thread type gets new articles/threads created and I want to move the articles section of my site to the Xen-Custome's solution instead of the AMS's one (personal preference) so that is my goal. In my POV - I'm a software developer as well - this shouldn't be a difficult task - you already can download the current addon and look the contents but (1) I'm hands full and don't know very well how the XF development works - I haven't set up a local development yet and (2) I don't understand very well how the license stuff works (considering you are touching/extending 2 already existent addons with their own license model).

So summarizing, make Siropu Chat room notification system work with Xen-Customize News Publisher (and only with new news created, not messing with comments or reviews yet).

I'm willing to pay for that, if the license model allows it of course.

Whatever your response is, thank you. As said before is very good when more people is engaged in creating more awesome stuff for XF (which is already awesome)

I do have this one just about ready (99%) for release. Mod is done and I have tested it on 2 of my forums. It handles doing Showcase pretty good. I am setting up a forum for my add-ons and I think I may try styles too.

@SoulReplicant , I think I own Siropu Chat already. Don't own Xen-Customize's News Publisher. Unless it is free. I will look this over tomorrow better. I need sleep!

I do have this one just about ready (99%) for release. Mod is done and I have tested it on 2 of my forums. It handles doing Showcase pretty good. I am setting up a forum for my add-ons and I think I may try styles too.

That addon will save people (including myself) a tonne of work. I have a xf1 addon that does this (custom made) but not for xf2 yet.
My main use case is to rename @Bob 's User Blog System phrases from BLOG to JOURNAL. So I assume that if it will work for Showcase, then it will work for UBS as well.

I would ask @Siropu and @Veer about it. I would even ask @apathy about doing it since it was he or she idea. Also ask if I can update apathy's addon to work with 2.3+.
