"Staff Picks" or "Featured Media"

Have a widget for the sidebar or above the forums that you can have promoted media. Have an option in albums for a moderator to promote an image to this widget.

All I ask is that if you implement this, you also set an option to clear all featured media or some way to batch-edit the featured media.

I personally wanted this to be a 'thing' since there is already 'featured resources' and the ability to 'feature' media would be just fantastic, it could work the same way as how featured resources work.

Featuring media items based on contest winners or themes, to highlight trending content or to boost quality etc. would be some plus points for featured media.
