XF 2.0 SQL dying while installing an add-on

As the title says, SQL redirects me to home page once I try to install some addons. However, I can install them locally without problem. There are no errors in admin panel.
Do i need to modify anything like timeout and execution somewhere? And where and what? Thanks a lot

How is SQL redirecting you to the home page. I cant quite make sense of that. I was expecting you to say you were getting a "MySQL server has gone away" error or something.

If it was that sort of error I have to ask about your hosting. If you setup your own VPS it's quite common for the VPS provider to have disabled swap and when the ram runs out the first thing to crash is the SQL server. But it seems your situation is probably entirely different?
