@Sheldon and I have been working on building a community to discuss sports. We are making use of Hashtagging, SportsBook, bd Banking, bd Widget Framework, XMWidgets, XenGallery, XenMediaGallery, and like a million lines of css that he typed.

We have sub forums for each team, thread prefixes for each team, you can pick your favorite team for each sport and we show their logos in your post bit, profile, member card, etc...

I also made a script that runs through and gets all the games scheduled on espn (currently only nfl and ncaa football are set up). If the game isn't already in our database, we create a thread to talk about it. If the game is in our database, we update the thread title with the new information (score and time left) and make a new post in the thread with the current score. There is up to a 5 minute delay. This script hasn't been extensively tested but I watched it add 80+ games real quick and it made a few responses to http://sportsdiscussion.net/threads/oregon-state-utah-final-ot.523/. We need suggestions for the name of the score bot.

More features will be coming.

WOOOOAAHHH is that the same as this? http://xenforo.com/community/threads/rss-feeds-posts-in-same-thread.58778/

Can you do that with any RSS feed?

Depends, that's heavily customized. I cache all games with gameids and if that game doesn't have a thread yet it makes it, otherwise it posts. If the feed I used didn't provide a game id, I would have been screwed.

[Edit] I just read more and realized you may mean something else. I'm going to post in that thread instead though now, I'd like to keep this related to SportsDiscussion :p

Love your site, beautiful design and really love how your subforums look.

Sent you a PM on how I can get it to look like that. But very lovely site man, kudos.
