hi, i really love the idea of having a sportbook in my football(soccer) community.
Just got some questions before buying it:
1. can i change the currency to € ?
2. do I have to create the bets on my own? or could it be possible to get them from any playce like bet365.com or bwin.com ? I personally don't think it's possible.
3. is it possible to assign some medals or titles for users when they reach a certain amount of won/lost bets or money?

Thank u very much! :)

1. Yes, there is a currency symbol setting.
2. Yes, you have to manually create events.
3. Yes, Sportsbook comes with 7 "Content and Achievements" User Criteria for creating Trophies, User Upgrades and Notices. These criteria can be used alone or intermixed with other criteria. In other words, you could create a new user group called Millionare, then create a promotion to that user group when a person has won at least a Million €.
  • Sportsbook - User has created at least X events
  • Sportsbook - User has placed at least X wagers
  • Sportsbook - User has won at least X wagers
  • Sportsbook - User has lost at least X wagers
  • Sportsbook - User has wagered at least X amount
  • Sportsbook - User has won at least X amount
  • Sportsbook - User has lost at least X amount

I'm new to this so I apologize if these have been answered, but my quick browse through came up empty:

When you create a new Category, it asks you if you want certain user groups to be able to create events. I'm assuming this does not override the user group permissions that have been individually setup?

Also, it asks you where you want a thread for the event to go. Doesn't it go in the forum that Sportsbook creates? Its not shown in the dropdown list so I can't specify it.

Lastly - someone created an event, but in the ACP, it doesn't show in the Event Management option. Is that right?

1. Not sure. Probably not. May have to ask @bobster65 about that.

2. The node that Sportsbook creates is a link to Sportsbook itself if you have that enabled. I remember bobster saying it replicates the appearance of a node.

3. Only events set to 'Pending' show in the event management section.

Also, can you go into what the Bookie CP is for?

The bookiecp shows all the events that YOU personally created. It allows for easy management of the events.

Hope that helps. :)

It does, thanks. I don't quite understand the fake node - so if I set it have the threads go into a different node, will they still be replicated there in the fake one as well? I assume yes, so I don't quite get why the node thread is an option. Does it do something else? Wasn't sure if the BookieCP was some sort of forum-wide list of certain members I could make bookies, or just a personal bet page.

How long do wagers have to wait for settlement? Does anything need to be done on that front, or does the system dole it all out automatically to each better?

yes, as the note says "If a user does not have permission to create events, this setting will not apply." so if you have a group called registered and you set the create permission to NO, then allowing the registered group for create in a category is worthless. The group must first have create permissions, then finer control is handled by each category.

Sportsbook does not create any forums (never has, never will). The drop down list are forums that you add via core xenforo Node Tree.

Lastly - someone created an event, but in the ACP, it doesn't show in the Event Management option. Is that right?
Yes, 90% of event management is handled on the frontend. The Event Management in the Admin CP is for clearing out stale pending events as Pending events can only be viewed by the owner on the frontend.

Also, can you go into what the Bookie CP is for?
Its a listing of all events created by yourself. It can only be accessed by the event owner.

btw, post support questions at the support forum, this thread is not for support. Thank you!

I don't quite understand the fake node
The simulated node block was a paid request by a license owner to have a stats/navigation block that LOOKS similar a forum node so that it blends in with the form list. They gave me permission to add it into the core addon as an option for others to use as well. It serves no purpose cept as a stats/navigation block. It is not a node and has absolutely nothing to do with the node system.

Settlement of an event is a manual process. Only those that have the permissions to settle events can settle an event. Once the event moves into "Awaiting Settlement", there will be a link that says "Settle" that displays on the event for those that have permissions to settle the event. When you click on it, it opens and overlay with all the outcomes and you check each outcomes that "PAYS" and hit submit. The system then does everything else from there.

no worries mate, just letting you know that I do not support my addons in sales threads here. I have an entire support forum so that each support request/bug report/suggestion can be handled/tracked individually.

my members spend their virtual 'cash' in the Casino, Arcade, Sportsbook, Stock Trader, Pickem, Squares, Survival Football and Fantasy Football.

I'd love to do something like this. I wasn't aware there's a Casino addon for Xenforo? Did I miss it somewhere? Thanks.

I wasn't aware there's a Casino addon for Xenforo?

I made a custom version based on the popular vB3x version. Its not something I will be releasing anytime soon (if ever) as I just do not have the time at the moment.
