Sportsbook & Betting Exchange

Sportsbook & Betting Exchange [Paid] 1.10.1

No permission to buy ($45.00)
those templates have changed, so you most like need to either merge or revert. (there are a ton of template changes)

How do you do the store in your demo site? Is that an XF feature or an add on? Would it be possible to set one up to use sportsbook cash for things like gift cards or games?

It is an addon called [XI] Storefront. It is not publicly available yet. You will have to contact the developers @ xenfluence.com to inquire about it.

OK, I'm kind of confused on setting up the bets. If I'm going by the moneyline and say the Angels are -200 vs the Royals. Do I create the outcome for the Angels as 100 to 200 and 200 to 100 for the Royals or vice versa? Also, is there a way to do over/unders or prop bets?

Also, there's some colors that I want to change.

The "Create Event" tab is hard to read and the "Open" signs are a little light.

XenForo 16.webp

The text is too dark with the dark background when viewing prior to edit...

XenForo 17.webp

and then too light when clicking to edit.

XenForo 18.webp

Where can I change these?

The best idea with stuff like this is to install the FireBug addon for firefox and start inspecting stuff.

It'll give you the css class names which you can then either change in the style properties or in extra.css.

I suspect most of these are just using the built in classes so they'll change the rest of your forums as well.

Best way to do it is to use Firebug to find which CSS element you want to change and then add an entry to EXTRA.css to change it.

For the first image, the CSS elements for those are:

.sportsbookEventListItem .main .status .open
.sportsbookEventListItem .main .status .closed
.sportsbookEventListItem .main .status .awaiting_settlement
.sportsbookEventListItem .main .status .settled
.sportsbookEventListItem .main .status .muted

the other screen shots are controlled by core xf and the style. They are not things Sportsbook styles with its own CSS.

Awesome! This is one of the things that attracted me most to XenForo! :)

I have a couple of questions. I didn't have time to read through all of the dialogue so please forgive me if it has been addressed.

A. I see there is a built in cash system. Is there any way to tie that to site purchases? Say you wanted to offer $1,000 in Sportsbook cash for $5 or $5,000 for $10, etc. Is that possible?

B. How do the bookies work? Do users need to be assigned/apply to be a bookie? Can anyone be a bookie?

C. How do most users apply Sportsbook to their site? Do they generally only offer it to paid subscribers? Outside of what I mentioned, is there a way to monetize it?

Appreciate the feedback!

One issue with charging for points is it could hurt you with some ad networks. I know ebay doesn't like it. When I applied
from them I noticed something about that
on their TOS. I contacted them about it. I explained that I don't charge real money and that members can't win real money and they allowed it. Just something to think about.

I've moved the Off Topic posts out of this thread. Please keep discussion related to the add-on at hand. Thank you.

is it possible to use real cash?

Sportsbook comes with its own internal virtual currency system (for entertainment purposes). There is no "real" currency purchasing or payout functionality in Sportsbook (and never will be because of Gambling Laws around the world). You do have the option of using 3rd party credit/points/cash systems, however, it would be those systems that deal with any "real" cash transactions ie, purchasing points/credits and handling any conversion (trading in points for "real" cash). Before messing around with trying to use real money, you should read this so you are aware of gambling laws: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/charging-for-virtual-currency.57671/

Getting a lot of server errors with the xenporta block.

ErrorException: Undefined index: sbRE_order - library/EWRporta/Block/SportsbookRecentEvents.php:32
ErrorException: Undefined index: sbRE_type - library/EWRporta/Block/SportsbookRecentEvents.php:25

that will happen if you didn't upgrade the block. Simply install the block again with the XML provided in the zip file

Yes, it is illegal in a lot of countries (and with PayPal).

It depends on what Sports you have and what you mainly focus on. Sportsbook is fun for betting on any sport and non sports as well (you are not just limited to sports). Pickem was designed for NFL/NCAA American weekly football pools, but it can also run pickems for ANY sport (team or individual). If you are just using it for soccer, I'd suggest using AA_'s soccer pickem instead..

What is AA_'s soccer pickem instead..?

I dont understand.

Is for soccer yeah, you advise against pickem for me?
