Very mature product for a 1.0 release. Impressive. Many details like Statistics already included.
As much as Sports fans have been clamouring for this ... I think there is a much bigger audience for this than just sports.
Many sites could benefit from from "Wagering" "Predicting" to add to the forum action.
How easy is it to deploy this in a non-sports Wagering System ?

Loved the Date / Time picker - worked great.

Q: Is there a way for the Bets / Events to appear in What's New ?

What are the legal implication of this if any real money is involved? Or the nature of this system is to use virtual money only?

Very easy.... you can create as many different types of categories as you want to. ie, Movies, Music, TV etc... (Those are 3 off the top of my head that my site uses all the time). Its not "locked" to sports in any way.

Nope. What's new is for "THREADS" only. The Newsfeed is however packed with activity from Sportbook (which is what the newsfeed was designed for).

Its a virtual wagering system. I've seen sites that let people purchase virutal cash, but this in no way pays out real cash.

Could you explain a bit more about category? Perhaps a snapshot of Create Category. How do you pull information for National Hockey League matches or say Movies?

This first shot is the very simple and easy to use category add/edit/delete feature.

This 2nd shot simply shows the Category Management landing page. I just added Television and Movies (they are now available for use on the demo site).

cat-2.png

This 3rd shot is on the Event Create (and Event Edit) pages.. you can that both TV and Movies are now available for use when creating new events.
cat-3.png

This 4th shot is a newly created event that was assigned to the newly created Television Category. You can see this even live by logging into the demo site.

cat-4.png

This 5th and final shot is what it looks like on the Events Page. You can see that it uses both the TV Icon that I added as well as the TV Prefix. Again, you can see this live right now on the demo site. You can create events using the 2 newly added Categories (TV and Movies). I purposely did not add a category Icon to Movies so you can see that it will display the Bookies Avatar instead.

It can be a huge improvement enable it to pulling events and results from some "results website". Maybe for a 1.5 version? :)
Many bets don't have results that can be pulled.
Your idea would be VERY hard to code, and fraught with endless upgrades.
As well, you might need to start paying for the "results".

For "low key" non-Sports Betting installs ... I think embedding events in threads would generate much more traffic (like Polls).

Can betting Events be "Forum Watched" subscribed to ? ie. I can be notified of every new Event ? This might be a way of getting forum users to see new Bets.

If a reliable data source was available, it might be something I would consider looking into, however, I've looked for almost 8 years now for something even remotely reliable and have found nothing. There just is not a decent Data source available.

Bob with another beautiful and quality add-on :)
Thank you Bud :)
