The product enhanced XenForo custom field system to allow sorting of options for applicable custom field types (dropdown, radio, checkbox etc.).

The product allows manual sorting by drag-n-drop, as well as provides controls to quickly sort the entire list alphabetically in ascending and descending orders. Sorting by option ID as well as option value is possible.

Yes, exactly. Meant for the cases, when re-ordering manually is very time consuming (e.g. having a list of countries and missing one, which should be somewhere at the start).

I suppose there are use cases for this, but I'm guessing very few. I just don't see you getting many sales.

Yes, the use cases are very specific, but the add-on wasn't too much time consuming to develop either. We could just include it in our thread/resource filter products, but as it is actually an independent functionality, we provide it separately so the users who don't need any of filter products can still use it. And we provide it as a free module for all our customers owning an active license of Thread Filter or Resource Filter add-on.

The problem is, you can't rearrange those fields. Imagine you have 50 choices. 1 choice has to go between 3 and 4. Good luck doing that, while you have to move 46 choices 1 step down. Actually you can't move it down at all, you have to overwrite (beggining from bottom) the 2nd last one with 1 below and so on. Now you can do this. Imagine you want to add the next choice 2 days later, and then again and then again.
If you have a dropdown list, 50 choices are actually not much. Imagine a list of countries, above 150. Imagine a list of city names. Around how many would that be?
And don't forget the cases where you want the most useful choices at the top.
So in a country list, if it is an American forum, you want "USA" the first choice and then the rest alphabetical. Again, just for fun, create a custom field with 20 choices and see for yourself how time consuming this is (and this is just 1 field).

So it is very conveniant to have this. It looks like little, but if you really use custom fields, it is very useful.

Feature request, can we have a sort of a checkbox to select multipe fields, so we can move all together? Or holding the ctrl button to mark the fields.
Would be nice to have, as if the desired language can't be sorted by the english alphabet system, moving them manually is the key here, which is great, just it would save more time if we could move multiple fields together. Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestion. It would be a bit hard to implement, as we are using some jQuery plugin not to deal with the complexity of drag-and-drop API, and the plugin works the way we have implemented it now. We will try to find some alternative for moving multiple rows at once (e.g. selecting the rows with checkboxes and having up/down arrows to move the selected items one level up/down).

Unfortunately, we are really busy with several projects now, so no ETA for now when this can be implemented.
