Correct for me at least. I'll be very happy to send cash to somebody who comes up with a Photopost vBGallery importer of some type (to either XF threads which could then be used by the new XenGallery forum importer) or directly into a XF gallery.Just some clarification so I don't go batty waiting for a solution...
vBgallery does not equal vB Albums.
As far as I can tell, we have an importer ready for vB Albums.
On the vB-side, many people are waiting for importers for:
Correct?
- Photopost PRO
- Photopost vBgallery
Is there an importer for IP.Gallery planned?
Is there an IPB Gallery importer in the pipeline?![]()
Already done. Would be available in 1.0.9. (for IP.Gallery 5.0.2+)
Can you please explain what is this extension and where do I get it?You must have EXIF extension enabled to use exif feature.
phpinfo I guess. Can you please explain what is this extension and where do I get it?
Thanks.
Isn't it enabled by default? (at least on my server). I was thanking something else, but if it's only phpinfo, then I'm good.phpinfo I guess.
I think, it will not.Are pictures/albums that were imported from vB4 still have their EXIF data?
I think you should be fine with that.My phpinfo:
EXIF Support enabled
EXIF Version 1.4 $Id$
Supported EXIF Version 0220
Supported filetypes JPEG,TIFF
Should I add support to other file types?
The files themselves might contain EXIF (if any) but would not be populated to db.Are pictures/albums that were imported from vB4 still have their EXIF data?
Thanks. When I'm trying to import from vB4, what is the Table Prefix? My albums were already imported and are in XF's database. The files themselves might contain EXIF (if any) but would not be populated to db.
Table prefix is the prefix of vB. If you did not configure it (check your vB configuration) then just leave it empty. You only can point to vB database.Thanks. When I'm trying to import from vB4, what is the Table Prefix? My albums were already imported and are in XF's database.
My table prefix is basically the default one xf_ but it doesn't want to take it. Should I point to the table prefix of the albums specifically? how can I get i find it?
So all the details that I need to plug in your importer are vBulletin's database?Table prefix is the prefix of vB. If you did not configure it (check your vB configuration) then just leave it empty. You only can point to vB database.
Added vB4 Album importer to XenGallery. To use the importer: AdminCP -> Tools -> Import External Data -> vBulletin 4.x => sonnb - XenGallery. You must previously imported from vB4 and you must have the archived import log to perform this action.
Ah, because it would look for UserID map (user_id vB -> user_id XF). If you have not imported from vB before or you do not have import log then it would fail.So all the details that I need to plug in your importer are vBulletin's database?
I'm kind of confused since your wrote:
So just to confirm. vB database details + archive log name when the import was done - right?Ah, because it would look for UserID map (user_id vB -> user_id XF). If you have not imported from vB before or you do not have import log then it would fail.
How about PhotoPost users? They are vB users or PhotoPost users? This might require you to import users too.Correct for me at least. I'll be very happy to send cash to somebody who comes up with a Photopost vBGallery importer of some type (to either XF threads which could then be used by the new XenGallery forum importer) or directly into a XF gallery.
Yep.So just to confirm. vB database details + archive log name when the import was done - right?
In the case of vBGallery they would be vB users so, yes, the vB user information might need to be imported also first. vBGallery is tightly integrated to vB and relies upon it for the backend versus PhotoPost Pro which can be used either as a stand-alone application or integrated though most vB users used it integrated. How about PhotoPost users? So you are using PhotoPost vBGallery or PhotoPost Pro? It's easy for PhotoPost vBGallery as it uses vB users and you might imported from vB to XF. For PhotoPost Pro, since it is standalone software, we need import users (but not sure they would be used by anyone?) or we can set all albums for admin? In the case of vBGallery they would be vB users so, yes, the vB user information might need to be imported also first. vBGallery is tightly integrated to vB and relies upon it for the backend versus PhotoPost Pro which can be used either as a stand-alone application or integrated though most vB users used it integrated.
So when people talk about "PhotoPost vBGallery" or "vBadvanced Gallery" (the product used to be "vBadvanced Gallery" before it moved to Photopost and was renamed) they are talking about the vB addon that relied upon vB while "PhotoPost Pro" could be in reference to either a stand-alone gallery or a gallery that was integrated into vB.
