In my experience that function is vital for this hack. I have used the prevent double post hack on vbulletin but as soon as it started to merge posts with announcements, articles, wikis, etc. I uninstalled that addon until a version was released with a node setting.

I hope this is planned.

Not sure what was wrong since it is still working in my case but I've made some changes long time ago. Could you try this if it works for you?

I can do it but cannot do it right now. It must be end of this month when I finish my current task.
