Some Question Before Buy..

Hi! I'm really interested in purchasing xenforo forum! But before that, I have a question that I would like to ask.. Should I buy just license worth $140. Is it necessary to Xenforo resource manager? What is the use of xenforo resource manager? Does xenforo add-on (media/award/achievement plugin) needed xenforo resource manager?

I hope someone could clarify these things to me so I could understand more..

All of that, except friends. XenForo doesn't have the notion of friends like Facebook or vBulletin. It does more of a follow - follower type set up, such as Twitter.

@King Kovifor thats cool enough.. How about reputation or badge/achievement on certain post count? Does xenforo have that?

One more thing, after purchasing, is it easy to install xenforo on webhost (plug n play) ?

Elastic Search is an improved search backend. It is designed for larger boards and requires software installed directly to the server (not web software), and requires a Virtual Private Server or a Dedicated Server to run. Some Shared hosting may install it for you.

Yes, there is reputation (XenForo's "likes") and badges/achievements (Trophies). You define the trophies in the ACP and specify certain criteria.

As long as your server meets the requirements, yes, it is rather plug-n-play.

You won't be able to download updates until you pay. The license is yours for life. You get a year of updates when you pay $140, then it's up to you. You can skip years and purchase a renewal whenever you want, and still update your software.

SMTP, no. FTP, yes.

If you do not renew, you will have access to the latest released version at the time of expiration and any before it. You will not receive updates, but you can continue to run XenForo on your servers indefinitely (its an owned license). You are also restricted from ticket access if I remember correctly, but you still have access to these forums.

Off topic, you may be able to cancel your license for Elastic Search if you contact XenForo (I would use the contact us form), but you'd have to fully purchase it again if you ever wish to use it.

It's just $50, so I'm fine with that. I do get some benefit from not writing that much on my SQL, which is almost 1GB.

oh sorry one last question, is there an add on where where new post (blog) can be automatically posted to social site like facebook page? for example,
in facebook page

new article

(image) (link)

like certain plugin that wordpress had?
