With XenForo this does get a lot more complicated (on my Samsung Galaxy S9, might be slightly different on other devices but basically it should be similar):
This does require more clicks and is not that intuitive / obvious, especially not that savy users might not even know that they can directly take a photo this way.
I therefore suggest that it might be a good idea to have an icon or button to directly take & upload a photo or video.

- Click on the insert image icon
- Click on the drop area
- Click on Camera
- Click on Attach files
- Click on Camera
