Simple Forms [Paid] [Deleted]

It sounds like an excuse to procrastinate more. :p I wish you ignore what is happening because kind of irrelevant when we are talking about an existing product, that XF is not going to disappear, and your priority should be to satisfy the existing/new customers whatever the situation. Just saying. Don't be mad. :D
It's not irrelevant and to think otherwise is not exactly fair to developers who work hard to earn a living of their products.

I said that because I don't think it will change something for new customers, as most likely they are not aware about the XF issues and even if they read after about it, once they see how XF is running smoothly, I can see only a very small part of clients refusing to buy add-ons (for wrong reasons). Same for existing customers, most of them enjoy XF and how it's running well ; buying add-on is unrelated to XF situation. Though, I can't deny there could be some clients, aware about the issue, reluctant to buy XF and then add-ons, but I can't believe it would represent the majority of potential clients. Is it actually the case ? That's said, I respect your work and choice, just answered because it was not feeling right.

It makes no sense for us to stop working on the product unless the sales aren't covering the development work. There is no procrastination. It's simply business and we have to treat it like that. We've already put a lot of development work into SF2, it just makes no sense to continue it at this point with the way XenForo is right now.

Then you mind as well make your add-on open source. IMO.

The source code is readily available for anyone who has the pro/plus license. What more do you need?
I speaking on behalf for public use. I am aware that, I, can review the source code, which I have altered, and fixed allot of bugs. However, no disrespect, but offering source for pubic might do some good, then again this is only my opinion. And, now everyone has opinions. .... I highly doubt that would happen.

What do you mean by "a lot of bugs". As it stands there are only 2 bugs we are aware of. If there are "a lot" they should be reported so we may actually fix them...

If this were a hobbyist add-on that would make more sense, but its a commercial add-on developed by professionals who need to make a return on their invested time to cover their cost of living.

You'll notice most developers and designers have held back on releasing much due to the halted development; people who do this for a living, or to supplement their income can't invest time into something that will not pay their bills.

Couple other ones I noticed, Did the fix a while ago. Can not remember them all. I did report this twice, as well as other users who purchased.

Two Title variable which I went ahead and added myself.

Three Changed up the way Forum Fields was saved. (Made them static So I could use the same Form Field across other Forms)[Which I do believe was request once if not more than once]

Four Changed up some of the coding so that ''Three'' Code work properly.

Five couple small tweaks, imo, that made it run smoother.

Now I am not by no means trying to disrespect you, nor LiquidPro Technologies! IMO, @Arkshine is correct. (IMO = In My Opinion). I am not getting paid for any of these and do not wish to be paid. I code for the love of coding not for money. IMO all developers should code this way, which, IMO, have a better outcome. Do not get me wrong there is nothing wrong with getting some extra cash in your pocket, But, IMO, to say you are holding development due to a stump in the road of the forum software is a sign of ignorance, (Now I know that comment just stated might & will cause a flaming ware, TBH it does not bother me. This is only my opinion). Weather Xenforo continues with more version or not, it will still be around a very long time. I do not plan on moving to another forum software at all, even if it means doing core coding myself. IMO, if yuo kept forth with development you would still see future customers even with paused on Xenforo development. Now I am going to stop here as I am jsut running on which is pointless, Hope the flame wars does not exceed over my head, by no means am I trying to disrespect anyone, I am just sharing my opinions, which I am sure allot of current Simple Forms clients agree on. (By no means am I being a spokes person for anyone, I speak for myself, and myself only)

Best Regards,
-Mac

This is what you meant by a lot of bugs? I see, well we have fixed pretty much all of these and three was actually a center-point for development of SF2. SF2 is radically different from SF1. It utilizes global fields, template fields, etc. Because so much had been done to change SF2 it's still not done. Which leads me to my previous reply about development and cost of development.

I don't want to get into an argument about how we release our addons. I'm sorry, that's not going to change. I'm not a fan of anyone saying our product has "a lot of bugs" in order to make our product look poor. We worked very hard on this and it's disrespectful, no matter how you meant it.

You speak so highly of SF2 why not release it. ''commercial add-on developed by professionals" need money this sure will get you money...

Release a half-done product just to make a few extra bucks? Who do I look like...Internet Brands?
Ever herd of
Alpha, Beta, Release.

This could improve your development, instead of relying your own time in finding/fixing errors/bugs allow your users/clients to find so that you can have more time fixing and adding. Seems as we see things differently, so I see no point in replying anymore.

No I haven't heard of that because we surely didn't do any closed beta testing for SF1 before we released the product (/endsarcasm). Once again...sell a product in alpha and beta state is not a route any developer should take if they're going to release commercial products.

Once again, if you are not happy with our development process and decision to halt development until the future of XenForo is more certain then I am sorry to disappoint you. We are doing what we believe is best.

Have a good day.

I believe this has been handled through your ticket. If you're still experiencing issues please respond there.

Yeh i fixed it.

But i cannot find how to make the forms. I searched the whole admin panel

Also when i installed your Addon, it messed up some Xenaporta stuff ( Or w/e its called) but i fixed it by deleting the online_users stuff

Make sure it's enabled under your Administrator Permissions. Simple Forms will be in the "Applications" tab.
