XF 1.5 sign up not working after upgrade to 1.5.1

whenever someone tries to sign up they get:
Please correct the following errors:

1. Some fields contained unexpected data. Please try again or contact the administrator.
2. Please enter a name that is at least 3 characters long.
3. Please enter a valid email.
4. Please select a valid time zone.
5. Please enter a valid password.

this is given regardless of the data.

I also get this error when trying to fix a problem with an outdated template:
Fatal error: Class 'XenForo_Error' not found in /home/workrela/public_html/skeptiko-forum.com/library/TMS/Model/Style.php on line 81

are these problems related? how do I fix?

The sign up issue is likely related to outdated templates or an add-on.

Does it work in a completely default unedited style with all add-ons disabled?

The second issue is related to the TMS add-on.
You may need to post in the resource thread for support.

same with all add-ons disabled.

There's code running there that's part of an add-on though.

That said, I would run the file health check. Sounds like files haven't been uploaded correctly.
